Suitable habitat for bee colonies has declined over the decades but River Garden Farms is working with scientists and conservationists to help bolster specific plant species desired by pollinators.
In coordination with the Natural Resource Conservation Service, Point Blue, Center for Land Based Learning, Yolo County Resource Conservation District and US Fish and Wildlife, River Garden Farms is currently working to expand its pollinator habitat area to 1 mile in length and include more than 1000 plants.
Throughout the years, bees have been an integral part of River Garden Farms success as the pollinators help in crop production. River Garden Farms is dedicated to working to ensure bees remain a fixture on our farmlands for generations to come.
